The foundation stone of Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School was laid in 1975 by the eminent social reformer, industrialist, and then Vice Chairman of the Meerut Cantonment Board, Late Shri Ch. Narinder Singh Ji. Guided by the inspiring vision of "Nation Building Through Education," he envisioned an institution where learning would ignite curiosity, purpose, and a lifelong passion for knowledge.
Over the span of five remarkable decades, Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School has evolved from a humble primary school into a distinguished Senior Secondary institution affiliated with CBSE. The school has consistently strived to recognize and nurture the individuality and potential of every learner, irrespective of their background, while upholding values of inclusivity, excellence, and character.
Late Shri Ch. Narinder Singh Ji remained the driving force and guiding spirit behind the establishment of GTBPS. His dream was to create an educational environment where students would always feel inspired, secure, and intellectually enriched. As the first CBSE school in Meerut, GTBPS set a benchmark for quality education by blending academic brilliance with state-of-the-art infrastructure and holistic development.
Beyond scholastic achievements, he envisioned a campus that resonated with serenity, creativity, and harmony with nature. Today, as the school proudly celebrates 50 glorious years of excellence, it continues to transform his visionary dream into a living legacy.
This proud heritage is being carried forward under the dynamic leadership of the present Hon'ble Chairman, Sardar Inderjit Singh Salwan Ji, whose guidance has elevated the school into one of the most respected educational institutions in the city.
