Kapil Sood
Mr. Kapil Sood is the Principal of this school. He is with this institution for the last twenty years teaching mathematics to secondary and senior secondary classes.
Mr. Kapil did his schooling for DAV School Chandigarh. Then he did his B.Sc. (Hons. School) from Punjab University Chandigarh. He Post graduated from Meerut University Meerut, and did his B. Ed. from Annamalai University Madras.
Apart from academics, he is also involved in various extracurricular activities like sports, dramatics and debates. He has been a motivating force for the students not only in studies but also in Dramatics, debates, cricket and chess. He himself is a keen player of chess and played cricket for Punjab University. He also formed a "Chess Club" in the school. On the academics front he has produced excellent results in Board Examinations for which he was also awarded the "Best Teacher" award in 1992 by Bharat Vikas Parishad'. Many students taught by him have won meritorious certificates for securing .01% position at the top level as announced by CBSE.
Career Counseling to the students of senior secondary level in another task which is being taken care of by Mr. Kapil. He is involved in organizing various seminars on emerging trende in non conventional careers and has been persuading the students to opt for there careers.
He is also actively involved with the parents of the students showing deviant behaviour, organizing their sittings with psychologists and interacting with them for remedial measure. Mr. Sood has been appointed as the Head Examiner for AISSE and AISSCE for the last eight years. He is also serving as Centre Supdt. for AISSE & AISSCE conducted by CBSE. He was also appointed as the state coordinator for "Group Mathematics Olympiad" examination. An examination conducted all over India to select the Indian team to represent country in World Mathematics Olympiad. He also held the post like House Warden, Coordinator (Academics), Coordinator (activities), Examination In-charge, and Timetable In-charge in the school in his illustrious career.
In the end Mr. Kapil is a very sensitive, a man of few words, a man of integrity and a highly dedicated person. He is a motivating figure for the students.
