The Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School, is a prominent English medium co-educational school in Meerut ,Uttar Pradesh. It was set up by Guru Tegh Bahadur Charitable Trust, Meerut Cantt in 1976. The school is affiliated to C.B.S.E., New Delhi. It is situated in the cantonment area of the city and has a beautifully designed spacious building.
The mission of the school was started by Late Ch. Narinder Singh, a man of great vision, dedication and enthusiasm. The school grew gradually to lofty heights due to efforts of his subsequent successors. The school has classes from Nursery to class XII which are in accordance with 10+2 curriculum of the C.B.S.E. The school maintains the standard of meritorious performance.
The school aims to provide a sound education that will lead to an all round development of students. Though due emphasis is given to academic disciplines, we lay stress on other important aspects of students' personalities.. We hope to produce citizens who are trained not merely in body and intellect but have in some measure, compassion for the less fortunate. The school has its own data projector, which makes the theory classes more interesting. The library houses 10,000 volumes under the charge of a trained Librarian. Library periods are provided for classes. Pupil are helped in selecting useful books by their teachers and the librarian. Every year new reference books are added in order to meet demands of students, teachers and time.
