INTER-HOUSE RANGOLI COMPETITION :- "May your Diwali be as bright as the festival itself." "Celebrate the Festival of Lights with joy, love, and laughter!" "Let Diwali lights guide us towards happiness and harmony." "Diwali: A festival that brings hearts together!" An Inter-House Rangoli Making Competition was organised on the occasion of Diwali. Students from classes 1 to 12 participated enthusiastically. The competition was divided into Junior and Senior wings. The four houses - Bhai Veer Singh, Guru Gobind Singh, Hari Singh Nalwa, and Maharaja Ranjeet Singh house - showcased their artistic talents using various colors, flowers, diyas, candles and more. Each house's wardens, Ashima Khanna, Harvinder Kaur, Harshi Sahni, Hema Madan, Swati Goyal, Nazish Khan, Vivek Sirahi, Roma Rastogi, encouraged their students. The competition was a vibrant display of teamwork, cultural heritage, and artistic skills. After careful deliberation, the judges announced the winners: Class 1 & 2 --- 1st GGS House, 2nd HSN House, 3rd MRS House Class 3-4 ---1st HSN House, 2nd MRS House, 3rd BVS House Class 6-7 --- 1st HSN House, 2nd GGS, BVS House, 3rd MRS House Class 9-12 --- 1st HSN House, 2nd GGS House, 3rd MRS House. Overall, Hari Singh Nalwa House excelled in the Rangoli competition. Dr. Karmendra Singh, Principal wished everyone a happy Diwali, emphasizing its message of moving from darkness to light. Today i.e on October 23, Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School Meerut Cantt hosted 16th Inter-School English Debate Competition in memory of the school founder, Shri Chaudhary Narendra Singh ji The topic of the debate was "Physical Fitness Eclipses Mental Well-being in Sports." The debate was inaugurated by the chief guest, Shri. Saurabh Gangwar (IAS), Municipal Commissioner, Jury members , Dr Karmendra Singh , Miss Prabha , Mrs Anjil Sharma and Shri Vshal by lighting the lamp. The teams were divided into two groups, One team spoke in favor and the other against the topic. The jury consisted of Mr. Naresh Kumar Kushwaha, Mr. Manoj Gaur, and Mrs. Rama Kamboj. The winners of the debate competition were: In Favor of the Topic: 1. Aastha Sahni, Guru Teg Bahadur Public School (1st position) 2. Suhana Dewan, Diwan Public School (2nd position) 3. Ashi Singh, City Vocational Public School (3rd position) Against the Topic: 1. Prahasth Bhardwaj, Guru Teg Bahadur Public School (1st position) 2. Akshita Chauhan, Dayawati Modi Academy (2nd position) 3. Ansh, Kalka Public School (3rd position) The chief guest, Mr. Saurabh Gangwar, Principal, Dr. Karmendra Singh, and jury members awarded prizes to the winners. The Rolling Trophy went to Guru Teg Bahadur Public School, but as per rules, the host school does not retain the trophy therefore it was awarded to the runner-up team i.e Dayawati Modi Academy, Modipuram. PARENT TEACHER MEETING :- The half-yearly parent-teacher meeting was held on 19th October 2024. Teachers discussed students' academic performance, highlighting strengths and areas needing improvement. Parents/guardians were informed about their child's grades, attendance, and overall progress. Teachers discussed with the parent for the Academic achievements and challenges faced by students, Strategies for improvement, participation in Co-curricular activities and upcoming events and important dates. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for open communication between teachers and parents. ROAD SAFETY PROGRAMME :- The closing ceremony of the 15-day Road Safety program held at Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School on October 16, 2024 was successfully acomplished. The event was a grand success for the school, it was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Chief Guest Shri Harikant Ahulwalia ji, Mayor Meerut, Shri Raghvender Singh, SP Traffic Mrt, and other notable officials from the transportation and traffic departments. Dr. Karmendra Singh warmly welcomed the dignitaries, setting the tone for an inspiring ceremony.
